A series of topics that I don't have enough materiel to write an entire blog post about all combined to make some sort of super topic part 1

To start off this super topic of impeding doom, I will start with The Truck Driver from The Grapes of Wrath. This so called truck driver, is a very strange character, who has a problem with sticking his nose in other peoples business. "The hell you ain't" said Joad. "That big old nose of yours been stickin' out eight miles ahead of your face. You had that big nose goin' over me like a sheep in a vegetable patch." (Steinbeck 12) Thus Steinbeck uses this amazing ability of being able to grow his nose over eight miles, and use this strange deformed nose thing to get into other peoples business, as a way of helping to define Tom's character traits and such. If you think about it this is an ingenious maneuver. All Steinbeck has to do is introduce a character who asks too many questions, and then use the responses to these questions to form a foundation for Tom's character. Truly remarkable, and I give Steinbeck props for this truly amazing, magnificent, magical fundamental, ground breaking, aw inspiring, other long adjective of a writing mechanic. Now I shall move on to the next topic in this long desperate attempt at getting all my blog posts done. This next topic being the random one eyed guy who was in the same book as the previous guy. Once again this character is solely in the book to enforce Tom's base character traits, those of which don't seem to want to be consistent. As in this cyclops is down on his luck, and wallowing in his own misery, when all of a sudden a wild protagonist appears. This protagonist quickly and peacefully rises the spirits of the friendly neighborhood cyclops, thus showing that Tom can be a well rounded charismatic person. This will be a useful trait when he is faced with leading a revolutionary army of pissed off farmers to attack the local government and completely destroy the economy. Especially when he enviably fails and has to explain to his people why.
