My poem also focused on war, although it was mainly about love and the effects of separation of war. You did a good job in connecting the writing style of the poem to the modernism time period.
While your poem related directly to WWI, my short story focused more on the effects that the Great War had on the modernist writers. One thing that stood out to me was the reasoning behind the confusing writing style exemplified in this poem.
The single minded nationalism that you referred to in your poem is much different than the discrimination in inequality in the country that is the theme of my poem. Your point about Cummings glorifying war was interesting as in my poem, the Negro narrator mentions how they helped fight the Civil War, but with no results as they were still not free a hundred years later.
